HOUSE KRUGELL

House Krugell (Botterkraal) is a new residence for the Krugell famiy in Potchefstroom, North-West, completed in 2021.
Consisting of two rectangular volumes, the "leefskuur" and the "slaapskuur", that are connected via a glazed link also functioning as the entrance. The design of the living spaces of Botterkraal play with volume and light to create generous spaces, by use of clerestory windows and white walls, complemented beautifully by the warm and dark tones of the furniture. The material palette of Botterkraal consists of off-shutter concrete, timber doors, a polished concrete floor and dark face-brick which all come together to contribute to the bright warmth of this beautiful home, wonderfully stamped with the personality of the Krugell family.
