Interior renovation for Siemens Digital Industries Software SA, Silver Lakes, Pretoria, 2022.

This exciting renovation project comprised of a dramatic transformation from dark, closed-cell interiors to open, light and pleasant work spaces. Services were upgraded to increase energy efficiency, such as aircon and lighting, and where appropriate, these services were made visible in order to contribute to a newer, more playful work environment. Designing with a palette of cool and natural colours together with contemporary furniture result in a more enjoyable workplace.
The interior lighting design makes use of warmer light in restful, informal spaces, while cool light is used in more productive and creative spaces. Natural timber (locally produced Pine) is used as cladding to add warmth to the colour palette, and for acoustic treatment, we made use of absorptive boards made of recycled plastic.
